Leaf forms. Room for your words.

Botanical card SVG.
A quiet paper gesture.

Stem & Still is an original botanical card SVG for a folded greeting card. Three botanical sprays bring a leafy rhythm to the front, with cutout openings revealing a separate contrast insert. Your digital download includes two cutting files, an English making guide and a dimensioned cut-and-fold map.

Two SVGs + English guide120 × 170 mm folded

A study in leaves.
A note made personal.

The botanical pattern is formed by openings in the front panel. The surrounding paper stays connected, so you do not need to position separate leaf pieces. A plain insert sits behind the pattern and lets your choice of contrast define the design.

The artwork contains no printed greeting. Use it for a thank-you note, a thoughtful message or an occasion of your own. The inside back panel remains available for writing.

The illustrative mockup shows a possible finished result. This is a digital file product; physical cards, cardstock, adhesive, envelopes, tools and styling props are not included.

One fold.
Your choice of contrast.

Cut the pattern.
Fold your message.

  1. Check and test

Confirm the base and insert dimensions after import. Set red paths to Cut and preview internal openings before the outer boundary.

  2. Score by hand

Use the PNG map to locate the centre fold. Hand-score with suitable paper tools, then fold without forcing delicate cut sections.

  3. Place the insert

Dry-fit inside the front panel. Apply paper-appropriate adhesive only where solid areas overlap; keep glue away from visible openings and the fold.

The design has not been physically cut, folded or assembled. Stock, grain direction, kerf and finishing affect the result. Make a prototype before a batch.

Good questions,
clear answers.

What will I receive?

One card-base SVG, one contrast-insert SVG, an English guide and a cut-and-fold map PNG. The PNG is a reference, not a laser processing file.

Does this botanical card SVG include a score line?

No. The machining SVGs contain cuts only. Locate the fold from the map and score it by hand; do not cut the centre of the card.

Can I resize the card?

Yes. Scale the base and insert together by the same factor. Recalculate the fold and inset, inspect narrow sections and test the revised size.

Preparing for Glowforge, xTool or Epilog

Glowforge: Upload each SVG, check its actual cut dimensions and assign Cut operations.

xTool Studio/XCS: Import and verify scale; Studio’s SVG import DPI can affect dimensions.

Epilog: Use suitable graphics software and your model’s driver/Dashboard, preserving centered 0.025 mm strokes.

Other CO₂/diode systems: LightBurn supports SVG import for compatible controllers. Use Line/cut operations rather than Fill. Check bed size and stock approval for your actual machine.

Which cardstock and settings should I use?

Choose foldable paper or cardstock approved for your exact laser. Paper cutting examples do not establish approval for every coating or stock. Unknown coatings and adhesives need manufacturer guidance. Paper edges can scorch; test cut quality, supervise the job and follow the machine’s paper-handling instructions. No universal weight, thickness, power, speed or pass count is supplied.

Can I sell finished cards?

Yes. Personal projects and sales of physical cards you make are permitted. Reselling, sharing or redistributing the digital files, including modified versions, is not permitted.
