A small gift. A moment of calm.

A lotus gift box SVG.
A graceful finishing touch.

Lotus Pond is an original lotus gift box SVG for foldable cardstock. A fused three-petal lotus and two round windows decorate the separate lid. Two nets form a glued square base and a removable lid, with your choice of approved paper and wrapping. The ZIP includes one scalable SVG, an English preparation and assembly guide, and an annotated fold map. Original page: 210 × 125 mm; flat artwork: 202 × 110 mm.

A graceful bloom.
A little room to give.

A calm floral detail gives a small present a considered finish. Lotus Pond pairs original lotus-inspired artwork with a square gift-box form, leaving room for your choice of approved cardstock, wrapping and personal presentation. Make a prototype first, then create a thoughtful home for a small keepsake.

The lid has one continuous stylised lotus silhouette and two round open windows. There are no interior petal veins, separate petal islands or engraving marks. Both the base and lid have four walls and four clipped glue tabs. The lid lifts off; it is not a locking closure, and no ribbon is required by the design.

The images illustrate a possible finished appearance. Physical packaging, cardstock, adhesive, finishing materials, contents and styling props are not included.

Prepare. Fold.
Check your chosen stock.

  1. Confirm the complete layout

Extract the ZIP and import the SVG. Verify the 210 × 125 mm page and 202 × 110 mm artwork bounds. Check the base’s 60 × 60 mm floor and 25 mm walls, and the lid’s 62 × 62 mm top and 12 mm walls. The nominal lid panel is 2 mm wider than the base panel; real clearance and fit depend on your stock and folds. Keep all cut and score paths together.

  2. Separate the operations

Assign blue folds to a separately tested shallow score and red contours to cutting. Score first, cut internal openings next and release the outside boundaries last. Alternatively, disable blue during laser work and hand-crease the guide’s folds after cutting.

  3. Assemble your own sample

Separate the two nets and pre-crease eight folds on each. Raise the base walls, fold its four tabs inside adjacent walls and glue their outward faces to the inside wall faces. Repeat for the lid. Keep each part square while the adhesive cures, then dry-fit the removable lid over the base. Check the fit with your intended light, wrapped contents before making a batch.

This design has not been physically test-cut, scored or assembled. Finished fit, capacity, strength and closure performance depend on stock, kerf, fold radius, adhesive and assembly. No universal material or machine settings are supplied.

Your gift, carefully presented.
The practical details.

What files will I receive?

The ZIP includes lotus-pond-square-gift-box.svg, README.txt and fold-map.png. The SVG contains the cutting and scoring artwork. The English README covers preparation, assembly and use terms; the annotated PNG is a reference guide, not a laser-processing image.

What will I make?

A two-piece foldable cardstock gift box with an undecorated base and a lotus-window lid. The base has a nominal 60 × 60 mm floor and 25 mm walls; the lid has a 62 × 62 mm top and 12 mm walls. These are panel references before material and assembly allowances. Both parts use glued inside tabs; the lid is removable and does not lock. This is a digital template, not a finished box. You provide the approved material and assembly supplies listed in the guide.

Are the lotus and round details printed or engraved?

No. The lid has three open windows: one fused three-petal lotus silhouette and two circles. No interior petal veins or detached petal islands are included. The base is solid. Use suitable separate wrapping for contents that could escape through the windows; a liner is not supplied.

How do I assemble and resize this lotus gift box SVG?

Pre-crease the four wall folds and four tab folds on each net. Raise the base’s 25 mm walls and fold tabs B1–B4 inward so they sit inside adjacent walls. Glue each tab’s outward face to the inside face of its adjacent wall, hold square and let the adhesive cure. Repeat for the lid’s 12 mm walls and tabs L1–L4, keeping glue away from the windows. Dry-fit the lid over the base before making a batch. Stock thickness, fold radius and adhesive affect clearance; the lid is removable and does not lock. Scale both complete nets together if resizing, then check fit again. Scale the complete design proportionally when resizing; the windows, tabs, holes and fold allowances change too. Assemble a new prototype before producing a batch.

How do I prepare the file for Glowforge, xTool or Epilog?

Glowforge: Upload the SVG, check the 202 × 110 mm artwork and usable work area, then assign red to Cut and blue to separate Score settings. Review the preview.

xTool Studio/XCS: Use software supported by your model. SVG import DPI can affect scale; verify dimensions. Assign red Cut and blue Score separately and test shallow scoring.

Epilog: In Illustrator, use centered 0.025 mm strokes and separate score/cut settings. Follow your exact model’s driver or Dashboard guidance.

Other CO₂/diode systems: With a supported controller, import into LightBurn and use different Line layers for red cutting and blue shallow scoring. Check Preview. Laser source alone does not establish controller or material compatibility.

If a suitable shallow laser score is unavailable, disable output for the blue SCORE group, cut only red contours and hand-crease using the fold map. Do not process the guide PNG as an engraving.

Which cardstock and settings should I use?

Confirm the stock and any coatings with its manufacturer and your exact machine’s documentation. Glowforge’s material guidance explains why approval depends on the actual paper and laser.

Test cutting and shallow scoring on scrap, then assemble a prototype. Add adhesive and finishing materials after laser processing. Follow ventilation and continuous supervision guidance. No universal thickness, power, speed or pass count is provided. The design is not represented as food-safe, waterproof, shipping-rated or suitable for heavy contents.

Can I sell physical boxes I make?

Yes. Personal projects and sales of finished physical boxes you make are permitted. Do not resell, share or redistribute the digital files or modified digital versions. See the README for usage terms. Physical materials, contents and styling props are not included.
