Identify the base and lid pieces and follow the selected design’s tab and wall sequence. Preserve their shared scale and artwork registration. Stock thickness, crease radius, kerf and adhesive affect the fit, so nominal panel differences are not a finished-clearance guarantee. Dry-fit a complete prototype before preparing a batch or selecting contents.
Questions before you make.
Will the lid fit after I resize the box?
Keep the coordinated base and lid at the same uniform scale unless the product guide directs a specific allowance adjustment. Resizing does not compensate for stock thickness, crease radius, kerf or adhesive. Check the new dimensions and dry-fit a complete prototype; do not force a lid onto the base.
Can I use the square or lidded SVG with my laser?
Use the SVG through software supported by your exact Glowforge, xTool, Epilog or other CO₂/diode equipment, following the selected product’s English guide. Confirm imported dimensions, approved stock and the supported controller or driver route. Map cuts separately from folds and surface decoration. Where fold paths are supplied, establish a shallow score on scrap or disable those paths and crease by hand; never through-cut structural folds. Import support is not a universal machine preset or physical test. Make a complete prototype before producing a batch.
