Playful robots. A paper line of character.

Robot paper garland SVG.
A cheerful cast to hang.

Cog & Cheer is an original robot paper garland SVG for 3 flat paper pieces: one square-headed robot, one round-headed robot and one twin-antenna robot. Three SVG files supply the cut contours, with an English preparation guide and reference images. Use your own paper and cord, choose the spacing and assemble the display by hand. No fixed overall length is specified.

Mechanical characters in paper.
A playful arrangement.

Cog & Cheer gives a robot-inspired theme a friendly paper rhythm. Choose colours for the cut motifs, repeat a favourite and set the spaces between them along your own cord. The result can suit a creative corner or a celebration, with the character coming as much from your palette and arrangement as from the supplied shapes.

Three distinct generic friendly robot silhouettes: a square-headed robot with one off-centre round-tipped antenna, a round-headed robot with raised bent arms and one central antenna, and a trapezoid-headed robot with two round-tipped antennae. Each has integral arms, legs and feet, two eye apertures, a chest aperture and two round 3 mm hanging holes. All limbs and antennae remain connected paper. These are flat decorative motifs with no licensed characters, logos, text, joints or moving mechanisms.

The images illustrate a possible finish and setting. This is a digital download; physical cards or decorations, paper, adhesive, envelopes, tools, suspension supplies and styling props are not included.

Prepare the motifs.
Give the lineup its rhythm.

  1. Check the files and dimensions

Cut each SVG once for one three-robot set, or duplicate selected files to repeat your chosen motifs along a longer garland. Each robot is a single connected flat silhouette with integral antennae, arms, legs and feet, two eye apertures and one chest aperture. Check each actual piece size after import: Square robot: 70 × 104 mm; Round robot: 78 × 107 mm; Twin antenna robot: 72 × 106 mm. The document pages include margins. Preserve the common scale if you want the illustrated proportions.

  2. Cut and release each piece

Map all 18 red contours to vector Cut, then preview the job. There are no score or engraving operations. Cut internal openings before releasing outer silhouettes where your software permits. Test the approved stock first and remove waste carefully without pulling narrow sections.

  3. Arrange, tie and inspect

Cut one of each robot motif, or duplicate files to make repeats. Thread separate maker-supplied cord through the two round holes in each robot head. Adjust spacing and secure the ends for your chosen display. Keep the three motifs at a common scale. No fixed completed garland length is specified. Dry-arrange the complete display before installation. Select cord that passes through the holes without forcing or tearing them, and inspect your own knots, hole margins and display support.

This design has not been physically test-cut, assembled, strength-tested or mounting-tested. Paper, grain direction, kerf, cord tension and display support affect the result. Make a complete prototype and inspect your own suspension arrangement before gifting, selling or installation.

What is included with this robot paper garland SVG?

The ZIP includes 01-square-robot-cut.svg, 02-round-robot-cut.svg, 03-twin-antenna-robot-cut.svg, README.txt, cut-map.png, assembled-reference.png. Cut each SVG once for one three-robot set, or duplicate selected files to repeat your chosen motifs along a longer garland. Each robot is a single connected flat silhouette with integral antennae, arms, legs and feet, two eye apertures and one chest aperture. The PNGs explain dimensions and a possible arrangement; they are visual references, not machining files.

How are the paper pieces arranged?

Cut one of each robot motif, or duplicate files to make repeats. Thread separate maker-supplied cord through the two round holes in each robot head. Adjust spacing and secure the ends for your chosen display. Keep the three motifs at a common scale. No fixed completed garland length is specified. The layout is an illustrative option, rather than a fitted construction or a guarantee of display strength.

Are cord and mounting materials included?

Six 3 mm nominal hanging holes per set, two in each robot head. Provide your own suitable thin cord and display support. Check that the cord fits without force and that the paper holds the chosen arrangement. No cord, support bar, mounting hardware or finished display is supplied, and no load rating is specified.

Can I resize or repeat the motifs?

Yes. Keep related pieces at the same proportional scale to preserve the illustrated balance, and recheck every opening, narrow section and cord hole. The supplied sizes are Square robot: 70 × 104 mm; Round robot: 78 × 107 mm; Twin antenna robot: 72 × 106 mm. Changing scale also changes hole sizes and paper strength. Make a fresh prototype after resizing or changing the suspension arrangement.

How do I prepare the SVGs for Glowforge, xTool, Epilog or another laser?

Glowforge: Upload the SVG, verify its dimensions and assign the red contours to Cut.

xTool Studio/XCS: Use software supported by your model. Check SVG import scale; DPI settings can change dimensions. Assign each operation manually.

Epilog: Open the vectors in supported graphics software. Preserve centered 0.025 mm strokes and use your model’s supported driver or Dashboard workflow.

Other CO₂/diode systems: LightBurn supports SVG import where the controller is compatible. Check dimensions and vector operations after import.

For every system, confirm the exact model, software, wavelength, material approval and usable work area. Preview the job, test your chosen stock and make a complete prototype. No universal power, speed or pass count is supplied.

Which paper and settings should I use?

Use plain, uncoated paper or cardstock approved for your exact machine, wavelength and paper-holding method. Confirm unknown coatings, dyes and adhesives before processing. A CO₂-compatible stock is not automatically suitable for a diode laser. Follow the machine maker’s extraction and supervision instructions, and test your own stock. No universal weight, thickness, power, speed or pass count is supplied. The design has not been physically test-cut, assembled, strength-tested or mounting-tested.

Can I sell the paper decorations I make?

Yes. Personal use and sales of finished physical decorations you make are permitted. Do not resell, share, give away or redistribute the digital files, modified digital files or digital parts. Read the included guide for the usage terms. Paper pieces and hanging cords are decorative display materials; use your own suitable installation and keep them away from heat sources.
